Description: Camp Karajžewc is a three day event in Cerkno with emphasis on ecological and ethnological themes. A larger number of workshops will take place this year (Cerkno’s traditional wild food, veganism, making of wooden baskets, use of herbs for healing and cosmetic purposes, permaculture…), lectures about ecology and ethnology, concerts of music groups which play folk music, as well as other activities (tightrope walking, fairytale readings, movie projections etc.).
Type of Work: Volunteers will help at the camp Karajžewc. The work will include planning and setting up the infrastructure (setting up the stage and arranging the scene, decoration, setting up the kitchen, roof, fireplace, camp, making of direction and parking signs etc). Volunteers will also help with the realization of the programme (technical help, cooking…) and will take part in the programme (realizing the performances, mentorship at the workshops…). After the festival they will help with cleaning the scene.
Study Theme: Volunteers will have the possibility of taking part in lectures and workshops concerning ecology and ethnology.
Accommodation: Camping at the scene of the event. If possible please bring a tent and sleeping bag with you. Volunteers will prepare the meals by themselves, you will also have the opportunity to cook at the food workshops.
Language: English.
Qualifications: No special knowledge or skills required.

Notes: Families welcome. The camp is unfortunatelly not accesible to wheelchairs due to the accomodaton and work circumstances.
